When I was preparing for my own rebrand a couple of years ago, the overwhelm & imposter syndrome seemed relentless. But with the help of some trusted coaches & mentors, I worked my way through it – and so can you.
Note: These can also be helpful even if you’re just considering small shifts to your visual branding.
A lot of branding-related anxiety comes from not knowing if the ultimate *big-picture* results will be what you intended. So the goal here is to align your vision for the aesthetic with the tangible results that you want.
Don’t overthink this one too much. Just spend a little time thinking through what you hope will change for your business – or 𝘪𝘯 your business – as a result of your rebrand.
Think on what you want it to feel like when you’re crafting an Instagram graphic, or handing someone your business card, or directing someone toward your website, or hitting “send” on your newsletter. How do you want your experience of marketing your business to change?
Check in with what truly lights you up about what you do, and think about what qualities you, your team, and/or your services embody that you wish your branding communicated.
Would it be more present on social media, engaging with its community in more meaningful ways? Would it have a stunning physical presence in your office or storefront? Would it be gracing the coolest merchandise, or getting featured in prestigious publications?
Picturing your brand’s ultimate expression & its exciting future are great ways to align with what you want & need from your visual branding.
